Basic Corporate 101
This training covers the basics things that every board member should know. This is the first training that every board member should have as it defines roles, responsbilities, fiduciary requirements, and corporate risk management. It includes a risk analysis of corporate documents, review of corporate statements (vision, mission, end statements, annual directional statement). This training can be delivered either onsite or via a 2-hour live webinar.

Becoming A Governing Board
This is for boards of directors who have the basics down and who are ready to transition from a working board into a governing or policy setting board. The key component of this training is developing and implementing a board administration manual and executive limitations.

THREE BASIC CORPORATE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

#1  On-site:  An eight-hour board training is provided at your organizatoin. This workshop consists of an organization survey and covers  the basics regarding what every board member should know. Staff are encourage to attend this training as it benefits the overall understanding of everyone’s roles and responsibilites.

Includes:

• Fiduciary responsibilities (Duty of Care, Duty of Obedience, Duty of Loyalty)
• Basic corporate governancerisk management new trends in federal and state governance
• How to avoid piercing the corporate veil
• Board decision making processes
• Roles and responsibilities of the board
• New IRS concerns

Bonus: Special arrangements can be made, at no extra charge, to meet with staff for updates in a wide variety of issues based upon need

 #2  BOARD POINT, Live Customized Webinar: When money is an issue but getting every board member up to date on their corporate responsibilities is essential, many boards will choose to have a live two-hour board training Webinar.

How does it work? Board members log on to a special web site that provides access to a power point presentation and dial into a conference phone line or use their computer speakers for the audio portion of the training.

What does this Webinar include? This Webinar covers basic corporate issues, new IRS governance concerns, best practices and fiduciary duties of the Board. Training materials are included.

This Webinar includes a 30 minute pre-Webinar phone discussion with the Executive Director and a review of corporate documents.

Webinar board training is especially beneficial to new board members so that everyone is on the same page regarding their fiduciary and corporate duties.

Availability: Webinars may be scheduled almost any time that works for your board, morning, afternoon or evening.

#3  BOARD POINT GROUP, a Live National Group Webinar

This is a 2-hour, live national Webinar for pregnancy organizations who want to either get their new board members trained or their experienced board members updated in their corporate & fiduciary duties.  This is not a customized training and the corporate assessments are not included in this training. Board members join with other board members across the nation for this telecast. Includes the popular Governance Tool 1.0.
